So awhile ago, we picked up some Korean noodle packs. They are basically ichiban noodles with different packaging. As they were on sale (something like 12 packs for $3), we grabbed enough to last us until the apocalypse. After trying them, we realized why they were on sale. They were apocalyptically hot. The little tiny spice pack that came with them was filled with Satan tears and brimstone powder. Even using about 1/8th of a teaspoon in the water that the noodles sat in gives your mouth a kick in the teeth. So I wanted to make some regular chicken flavoured ichiban style powder mix to tame the noodles down.

I think it turned out pretty close, although it could use a bit more salt than is practical. Or MSG most likely. Either way, it’s easy to whip up a bowl of it and is a great alternative for your $1 noodles.
