So Christmas cake seems to be a must-have staple for the holidays. Unfortunately, it’s horrible. The main thing that ruins a Christmas cake are those nasty maraschino cherries and fruit. Followed closely by that even more nasty, sugary, crusted icing
So last night was a quiet, yet fun New Years Evening with some friends. I made a roast, garlic chive mashed taters, peas, the most important food group of gravy, and the usual trimmings like pickles, olives, cheese, buns, etc.
