Low carb’ers rejoice! There is pizza back on the menu! Yes, you heard me right!
There is a low carb store in our area that has wraps from Flat Out. Now mind you, they aren’t ZERO carb, just low carb. So for the hard core phase, I think you should avoid it. But, as a low carb treat, the wraps make an amazing pizza.
Just throw on the bbq for about a minute to crisp up.
Remove from the bbq, flip over (crisped side up) onto a cutting board.
Add your toppings of choice.
Slide back onto bbq and grill for about 4-5 minutes
For our pizzas I’ve used homemade tomato sauce, large pepperoni slices, mushrooms, mozza, grated cheese, and fresh basil. The other was garlic butter base, chicken, feta, mozza, sundried tomatoes. But whatever rocks your boat and is your favourite pizza!
For transferring to and from the cutting board, I used a giant spatula, about half the size of dinner plate. One of my favourite bbq tools. 🙂
For wraps we’ve tried the tomato and the spinach. I think the tomato one is just sliiiightly better in the taste department, specially in pizza form. I made a chicken caesar wrap with the spinach and it was very good, too. So all in what you’re going to use them for.
