A friend of mine and I are attempting DDP Yoga. Well, the hubby and I are too so its really a double dose. Anyhoos, as the girlfriend was coming over so we could work on the program of pain, I needed something that could spend awhile in the oven. I gave her a list of dishes and she chose meatloaf. And really what could be better than bacon after a workout? Nothing. So bacon wrapped meatloaf it was.

Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf
Ingredients
Meatloaf Ingredients
- 500 g ground beef
- 500 g ground italian sausage
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp dried onion flakes
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 small onion grated
Topping Ingredients
- 1/2 c ketchup
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 4-5 strips of bacon cut in half
Instructions
- Mix meatloaf ingredients in a bowl
- Line a cookie sheet with tinfoil and place the meat mix in the center. Form into a log shape.
- Slightly flatten the top and pour the topping mixture over the top
- Lay the strips of bacon over the whole log
- Bake at 350F for 1 hour. I crisped up the bacon by popping it under the broiler for a couple minutes.
