I knew I had some cabbage I needed to use up, but didn&#8217;t want <a href=\"https:\/\/cookingislikelove.com\/wp\/quick-sauerkraut\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>sauerkraut<\/strong><\/span><\/a> or even coleslaw. A general steak and cabbage search started bringing up Korean recipes. As both the Hubby and I love spicy dishes, a perfect way to bring meat, kimchi, and veggies into one dish was Korean beef and kimchi!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I modified a recipe found on Williams Sonoma, using one of my favorite hot sauces &#8211; sambal ooelek (the other being Franks Red Hot) and Splenda instead of sugar. So it&#8217;s&nbsp; low carb! I didn&#8217;t have mushrooms, but next time I make the dish, I&#8217;ll definitely add them. I also plan on picking up some&nbsp;gochujang (Korean hot sauce), as it will add a slightly different level of heat and taste.<\/p>\n<p>We had the leftovers the next day and to heat up, I just tossed it back into a hot wok with a bit of oil, tossing until it was heated through. Even though the kimchi had a kick, I didn&#8217;t find the dish overly spicy, even after sitting for a day. wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes-faded\">cut into 1 inch pieces<\/span><\/li><li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\" style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>&#32;<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cup<\/span>&#32;<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">kimchi<\/span>&#32;<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes-faded\">coarsely chopped**<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"recipe-3550-instructions\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instructions-container wprm-recipe-3550-instructions-container wprm-block-text-normal\" data-recipe=\"3550\"><h3 class=\"wprm-recipe-header wprm-recipe-instructions-header wprm-block-text-bold wprm-align-left wprm-header-decoration-none\" style=\"\">Instructions<\/h3><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-group\"><ul class=\"wprm-recipe-instructions\"><li id=\"wprm-recipe-3550-step-0-0\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Take half the marinade and the steaks and place in a ziploc bag. Massage and let marinate for the day.
