Except for the butter, mix the above ingredients in a bowl.
Then cut the butter and either using your fingers or a pastry cutter, blend the butter with the mix until it forms into pea sized lumps.
Sprinkle over the top of the pie ingredients.
Notes
Note 1: for spices, use whatever you prefer. I went with the nutmeg to go with peaches. Apples would taste great with cinnamon, etc. Note 2: this makes enough crumble for 2 pies!
