So yesterday was my first ever paid catering gig. I don’t know if I’ll make it a full time affair, but I have to admit it was fun to see everyone enjoying the food. Alot of work, with pleasurable results. I even ended up with comments like:

I’ll never eat boxed soup again. You’ve ruined it for me.
These are the best ribs I’ve ever had. Seriously!
I hate creamed corn, but I loved yours!

One of the most surprising dishes for me was the watermelon salad. Only the second time I’ve ever made it (did have a test run dinner a couple weeks ago and made it then) and found it very refreshing, specially with the zesty ribs.

Appetizers:
Bruschetta and crustini’s6 Layer Dip with tortilla chips
Dill Garlic Dip and potato chips
Roasted Butternut Squash Soup

Supper:
Pork Baby Back Ribs with Homemade BBQ SauceCoq au Vin
Watermelon Feta salad
Pasta and Veggie Salad
Creamed Corn

Dessert:
Black Forest Cupcakes (presented layered in small canning jars)
